Livvy Dunne Reveals Superstitious Ritual She Has to Do Before Paul Skenes Throws Every MLB Pitch
Former LSU gymnastics star Livvy Dunne says she has a ritual for watching from the stands as her boyfriend Paul Skenes pitches for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
"I'm a little superstitious," Dunne said on a Wednesday night appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "I have to scream before every single pitch, 'Let's go Paul.' And everybody around me is kind of like, 'What is wrong with this girl?'"
Dunne concluded, "100 pitches, and I would scream 100 times. It's a lot of screaming."

Dunne's appearance on the Tonight Show took place the day after Skenes threw six no-hit innings in the Pirates' 3-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.
Skenes struck out his first six batters faced and didn't allow his first hit of the game until the seventh inning in a performance that dropped his ERA to 1.98 through 50 innings pitched.
Skenes' efforts have helped the Pirates out to a 24-20 start, keeping alive the club's hopes of posting a winning season-long record for the first time since 2015.
