The Los Angeles Chargers teased the New England Patriots during the team's Halo-themed 2026 schedule release video, which was posted on Thursday.

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, NFL reporter Dianna Russini, Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs and rapper Cardi B were all referenced for Los Angeles' Week 12 matchup with New England (3:30 mark).

Photos of Vrabel and Russini at an adults-only hotel in Arizona were published by Page Six in April, while Diggs and Cardi B have been involved in a relationship since June 2025.

Additionally, the team referenced the Baltimore Ravens backing out of their trade for Maxx Crosby:

The Chargers are known for their viral schedule release videos, routinely poking fun at their upcoming opponents each season.

Chargers senior director of digital and social media Megan Julian previously discussed the process leading up to the creation of each video.

"I think like our line is: Is this something that we're going and creating a narrative on? Or is this a narrative that exists that people are talking about online? Is this part of the culture? Is this viral?" Julian told Jayna Bardahl of The Athletic. "If you're making references to things that are happening in the world, that makes sense. You're not creating beef. You're not creating drama out of nothing."

Los Angeles is looking to make a third consecutive playoff appearance next season after wrapping up an 11-6 finish in 2025.

The Chargers will once again be led by quarterback Justin Herbert and a defense that ranked No. 5 among all teams by allowing a mere 285.2 yards per game last year.

While Los Angeles struggled to move the ball down the field during a 16-3 loss to the Patriots in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, the team will be hoping for improvement under new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel.

The Chargers begin their 2026 campaign with a Week 1 battle against the Arizona Cardinals.
