49ers' George Kittle Shares Funny Story About Wife Claire, Spider in Social Media Post

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle didn't let his limited mobility stemming from continuing to rehab a torn Achilles stop him from playing the role of hero to his wife when a spider invaded their house.

Kittle explained in a post on X that his wife, Claire, discovered a "spider the size of a half dollar" in their bathroom around 4 a.m. and he stepped in to take out the intruder with the assistance of a slant board he is using as part of his injury rehab.

Not only was Kittle able to have a hero moment very early in the morning, he added that he was able to get back to sleep "with confidence" knowing the job was done.

Never has the saying "not all heroes wear capes" ever applied more than it does to the situation in the Kittle household, especially considering the size of the spider.
