NFL Travel Mileage Totals for All 32 Teams Ahead of 2026 NFL Schedule Release
The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams are set to be the most-traveled teams in the NFL during the 2026 regular season.
According to Bookies.com's Bill Speros (h/t ESPN's Adam Schefter), the Niners will require 38,105 air miles of travel in order to complete their 17-game schedule. They are followed closely by the Rams at 34,847 miles:

The biggest reason for the 49ers and Rams pacing the field is the fact that they are set to face each other in Melbourne, Australia, in a Week 1 matchup on Sept. 10, marking the first NFL regular-season game to ever be played in Australia.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area estimated in February that the 49ers' trip from San Francisco to Melbourne would require about 15,800 air miles of travel.
On top of that, the Niners have an east-coast road game against the New York Giants on their schedule, as well as a second international game against the Minnesota Vikings in Mexico City on Nov. 22.
The Rams also have a fairly brutal travel schedule even outside of the Melbourne game with trips to Philadelphia, Tampa and Washington, D.C. on tap.
Rounding out the top five for teams with the most projected travel during the 2026 season are the Houston Texans (28,470 miles), Dallas Cowboys (27,980 miles) and New England Patriots (27,590 miles).
Of the five teams that will have to travel the most in 2026, four of them were playoff teams in 2025.
International games will have a significant impact on travel distances this coming season, as nine of them will be played outside the United States.
In addition to the Australia and Mexico games, there will be three games in England and one game each in Brazil, France, Germany and Spain.
The Cowboys, Texans, Patriots, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons and Washington Commanders are among the teams tabbed to play in those international games.
Several teams will have an advantage over the rest of the league in terms of travel, including five that will require fewer than 13,000 miles in the air.
The Carolina Panthers will have the least travel in 2026 at just 8,740 miles, followed by the Cleveland Browns (9,073 miles), Chicago Bears (10,676 miles), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (12,185 miles) and Green Bay Packers (12,673 miles).
