Azzi Fudd Ruled Out vs. Dream
Reese got the double-double early with about seven-and-a-half minutes left in the third quarter.
Wings guard Paige Bueckers added 15 points and three assists for the Wings, who were without 2026 No. 1 overall draft pick Azzi Fudd due to a right knee injury. Arike Ogunbowale's 20 points led Dallas, which made just 4-of-26 three-pointers.
The Dream also got a clutch performance from Jordin Canada, who stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Rhyne Howard added 14 points (7-of-7 from the free throw line) and four assists.
The Dream trailed 59-58 going into the fourth quarter, but Atlanta went on a 19-8 run to start the final frame. Dallas scored five points over its final two possessions, but time simply ran out before it could muster a comeback.
Atlanta is now 2-0 after beating the Minnesota Lynx 91-90 in the opener. Reese, who was traded from the Chicago Sky to the Dream last offseason, had 11 points, 14 rebounds, three blocks and two steals in that one. All five Dream players scored in double digits, led by Gray's 24 points. Atlanta will hope to go 3-0 on Sunday vs. the defending league champion Las Vegas Aces.
Dallas fell to 1-1 with the loss after beating the Indiana Fever 107-104 on the road in the opener. Ogunbowale (22 points), Bueckers and Odyssey Sims (20 points apiece) led the Dallas offense. The Wings will look to get back over .500 on Thursday at home vs. the Lynx.
