Jeremiyah Love Drops Spider-Man Quote, Reacts to Historic Contract After 2026 NFL Draft
Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love dropped an iconic Spider-Man quote while discussing his historic rookie contract after he was selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
"With great power comes great responsibility," Love told reporters (0:15 mark). "In this instance, with a lot of money becomes a lot of trust, a lot of responsibility. With them putting that much trust in me, I think I have a duty to give them a return on their investment. Because at the end of the day, it's an investment. They're investing in me as a player. They picked the running back as the third pick in the NFL draft, which hasn't happened for a long time. So, with great power comes great responsibility. I'm gonna make sure that I do right by them and do right by myself."
Love signed a four-year, $53.9 million contract with the Cardinals on Friday. The deal, which is fully guaranteed, contains the most guaranteed money for any running back in NFL history (h/t ESPN's Josh Weinfuss).
Expectations are high for Love, who finished No. 3 in Heisman Trophy voting for his 2025 season with Notre Dame.
In 12 games, he rushed for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns while averaging 6.9 yards per carry. Love also caught 27 passes for 280 yards and three scores.
He'll now look to provide a boost to an Arizona rushing attack that struggled in 2025, ranking No. 31 among all teams by averaging a mere 93.1 yards per game on the ground.
