Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream spoiled Olivia Miles' rookie debut and stunned the Minnesota Lynx with a 91-90 comeback road win on opening day of the WNBA season.

Reese, the 2024 No. 7 overall pick, made her Atlanta debut on the road after spending her first two seasons with the Chicago Sky.

She was acquired in an April 6 trade that sent her to the Dream in exchange for first-round picks in 2027 and 2028, along with second-round swap rights in 2028.

In Reese's red-and-white debut on Saturday, she finished with a double-double of 11 points, 14 rebounds, two steals and three blocks, including the game-sealing rejection as time expired.

Alongside Reese, Allisha Gray had a standout game for the Dream, leading the team with 24 points, eight rebounds and two steals, while Rhyne Howard and Naz Hillmon each added 15 points.

Miles, Courtney Williams and the Lynx stepped up in Napheesa Collier's absence as she continues to recover from left ankle surgery undergone in March, but Minnesota could not close out the game after leading by as many as 19 points.

The No. 2 overall pick Miles finished with 21 points, three rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks in her rookie debut. Williams added 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals, while Kayla McBride contributed 18 points and Natasha Howard added six points.

Atlanta was held to just 12 points in the opening quarter, as Minnesota built a commanding 52-37 lead at halftime.

The Dream outscored the Lynx 26-19 in the third quarter to cut into the deficit, entering the fourth down by eight.

Atlanta took its first lead of the game with 12 seconds remaining and sealed the comeback win with a Reese block on Emese Hof.

Atlanta will look to improve to 2-0 on Tuesday against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings, while the Lynx will search for its first win of the season against the Phoenix Mercury in The Valley.
