De'Zhaun Stribling's 49ers Jersey Number Revealed Amid Jauan Jennings' NFL Free Agency

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling has confirmed he will wear No. 15, via Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Former 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings, who is currently a free agent, wore No. 15 for San Francisco over his five-year tenure (2021-2025) with the team.

General manager John Lynch previously confirmed to reporters at the annual league meetings that Jennings would not be back with San Francisco.

"Jauan's one of my favorite players and one of Kyle [Shanahan's] favorite players," Lynch said, per Henry Cheal of All49ers. "He'll find a good home. And I think Jauan will go play great football for someone. Can't say enough for what that guy did for [the 49ers]. When that guy stepped between the lines, man, he was a presence, and they had to deal with him. 

"And [he] won us a lot of football games. So, I can't say enough about him."

The 49ers made major moves at wideout this year.

Mike Evans, who had 1,000-yard seasons in each of his first 11 NFL campaigns, is now in San Francisco on a three-year contract. Christian Kirk, entering his ninth NFL season, is also in town on a one-year deal.

As far as departures go, Kendrick Bourne left San Francisco to sign a two-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals.

The pressure may not be on Stribling right away to contribute, with the 49ers' top three at wideout being Evans, Kirk and Ricky Pearsall. Assuredly, San Francisco should have big plans for Stribling, the top pick in the second round of this year's NFL draft, down the road.

The 6'2", 207-pound Stribling played five collegiate seasons for Washington State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss. He caught 55 passes for 811 yards and six touchdowns for Ole Miss in 2025.
