David Ortiz struck out against plenty of iconic pitchers during his playing days, but his most recent strikeout came against an unlikely pitcher.
The Boston Red Sox legend struck out against YouTuber IShowSpeed on Wednesday.
Ortiz would probably like to get another chance to swing the bat against IShowSpeed, but the Hall of Famer shouldn't sweat it too much. After all, he's a three-time World Series champ and won of the best players of his generation.
While IShowSpeed is known mostly for his streaming, he's been getting into the sports world in recent years. Most recently, he made an appearance at WrestleMania 42, where he teamed up with former YouTuber Logan Paul, along with Austin Theory, but lost in a tag team matchup against The Usos and LA Knight.
Later on in the night, he put Paul through a table.
IShowSpeed also made an appearance at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in March, competing against a number of iconic athletes like Tom Brady, Jalen Hurts and more.
IShowSpeed lived up to his name in 2024 when he challenged U.S. track star Noah Lyles to a race with $100,000 on the line and nearly beat him.
