AEW Dynamite Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, Highlights From May 6

Chris MuellerMay 6, 2026

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of the special three-hour Dynamite on May 6.

We're still a little over two weeks away from Double or Nothing, so this week's show saw some work put into the build for the PPV.

Here's a look at what was advertised for Wednesday's episode:

  • Darby Allin vs. Kevin Knight (AEW World Heavyweight Championship)
  • Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson (Continental Title Eliminator Match)
  • Orange Cassidy vs. Dax Harwood
  • Mina Shirakawa and Harley Cameron vs. Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida
  • Kazuchika Okada vs. Bryan Keith (International Championship)
  • Skye Blue vs. Jamie Hayter
  • Young Bucks and Bang Bang Gang vs. Death Riders and Dogs
  • Let's take a look at what happened on this week's Dynamite.

    Ted Turner

    1 of 2

The show opened with Tony Schiavone in the ring. He said before the show would begin, AEW wanted to pay tribute to the late Ted Turner after the news broke of his passing today.

Tony talked about working under Turner during his time in WCW. He said Turner changed the way wrestling worked, and he loved both the business and the fans.

He brought out Sting to share his thoughts and memories about the late TNT and TBS founder. Sting called Turner a billionaire who loved pro wrestling.

He said there would be no Sting without Turner before he hyped Darby Allin's title match later in the show. He said Tony Khan was similar to Turner in his love of the business.

    Rest in peace, Ted.

    Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson

    2 of 2

Last time in action: Death Riders and Dogs defeated Top Flight and Rascalz (Collision, May 2), Bang Bang Gang defeated Death Riders (Collision, May 2)

The opening match was a Continental Championship Eliminator bout with Jon Moxley taking on Juice Robinson. The announcers filled us in on some of the history between these two men from NJPW.

They came head-to-head and talked some trash before they began throwing hands to start the action. Juice took control with some chops in the corner, and he maintained the upper hand for a couple of minutes as the fight spilled out of the ring.

Robinson has had inconsistent booking in AEW due to injuries, but this felt like the first time we got to see the same guy who was so successful in Japan. He felt like a real threat to Moxley, who is often portrayed as one of the toughest men in AEW.

If you wanted a technical clinic, you were never going to get it in this match, but if you like watching two guys who are a little off in the head beat each other up, this one is for you.

The first half of the match was relatively tame, but they really picked up the pace after the show returned from a break. They turned this into a hard-hitting fight that had the crowd cheering and chanting.

Mox scored the win with his Bulldog Choke, but Juice put up a good fight.

    Result: Moxley defeated Robinson

    Grade: B+

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Excalibur saying "Turner Broadcasting System" instead of Just TBS during his intro was a nice touch.
  • The slingshot that sent Moxley over the top rope looked good for a spot that usually looked like the person being thrown has to do a lot of work to make it look good.
  • Moxley is one of the only pro wrestlers who exudes realistic dangerous energy. He is very good at playing his character.
