New NFL Rumors on Vikings' GM Search, Timeline to Name Replacement for Adofo-Mensah
Four months after firing Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, the Minnesota Vikings are making progress in their search for a new general manager.
Per The Athletic's Alec Lewis, the Vikings are still in the "early stages" of the process with some stakeholders expecting things to "ramp up later this week or early next week."

The Vikings announced on Jan. 30 that Adofo-Mensah had been fired after four seasons as general manager. It was a surprise decision, particularly given the timing because teams typically make that kind of change immediately after the conclusion of the season.
Rob Brzezinski, who has been with the organization since 1999 and has been in his current role of executive vice president of football operations since 2014, ran the draft room last month and has been running the front office since Adofo-Mensah was dismissed.
Vikings owners Mark and Zygi Wilf announced on April 29 they began the search for a new general manager, including working with search firm TurnkeyZRG to assist in the hiring.
Lewis noted there is a lot of internal support for Brzezinski because of his experience within the organization, as well as his working relationship with head coach Kevin O'Connell and defensive coordinator Brian Flores.
The timing of this hiring is certainly fascinating because whomever gets the job is taking over a situation that is largely set for the 2026 season, meaning any potential changes a new GM might want to implement may not necessarily be felt until next offseason.
Next up on Minnesota's offseason calendar is two-day rookie minicamp starting on Friday, followed by the start of OTAs on May 26.
The Vikings finished 9-8 last season and missed the playoffs. They went 43-25 with two playoff appearances in four seasons with Adofo-Mensah in the general manager chair.
