Eagles Reportedly Give Big Dom DiSandro Contract Extension Ahead of 28th Season with Team
Dom DiSandro, known lovingly in Philadelphia as "Big Dom," wears quite a few hats for the Philadelphia Eagles, operating as the senior advisor to the general manager, chief security officer and gameday coaching operations.
And he'll be doing so well into the future after he reportedly was given a contract extension, per Dave Zangaro of NBC Philadelphia:

As the Eagles' website notes on DiSandro, he "originally joined the Eagles in 1999 [and] oversees all safety and security matters for players, coaches, and executives. He also directs security at the team's training complex, is responsible for security measures related to team travel and logistics and provides education on the NFL's personal conduct policy."
Basically, Big Dom does a little bit of everything, and he's become a Philly legend in the process.
He was most prominently thrust into the national scene back in 2023, when San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw threw a punch at him while DiSandro tried to break up a scuffle on the sidelines.
Both DiSandro and Greenlaw were ejected. The Eagles later added the "gameday coaching operations" to his title, likely to ensure that if a similar situation occurred in the future it wouldn't result in an ejection.
But the legend of Big Dom had been forged long before that moment:
"I don't think there's any doubt that he's the best in the National Football League, and in my opinion all of sports, at what he does. His ability to not only gather information but have a feel for people," general manager Howie Roseman told reporters in 2025 regarding Big Dom's role during draft prep for the team. "And then we just have to make judgments. In those situations, those are a little more subjective, and that's based on all the information we get."
Big Dom, in other words, has become an invaluable part of the Eagles' organization. On Monday, that resulted in another contract extension.
