New UFC White House Renderings Revealed in Video, Dana White Talks Freedom 250 Attendance Capacity

The UFC Freedom 250 event is just over a month away, and more details have emerged about how things will play out on the White House lawn on June 14.

During an appearance on My View with Lara Trump, UFC president Dana White unveiled renderings for the upcoming showcase event (2:45 mark).

UFC Freedom 250 is headlined by a lightweight title unification fight between reigning champion Ilia Topuria and interim champ Justin Gaethje. The co-main event will feature former light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira taking on Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight championship.

White explained that a temporary arena will be constructed to hold 4,300 spectators, with most of those tickets going to military personnel. He added that another 85,000 tickets will be given away to fans who can watch the fights from the Ellipse, which is a public park across the street from the White House lawn that will be set up with large screens and stages.

"We're going to be doing all kinds of things, you know, in D.C. for fans, and it's really a cool city… If you're a UFC fan, this is absolutely positively the time to come to D.C.," White said.

White has historically been hesitant to hold outdoor UFC events due to unpredictable weather, but he said he's working with the military to get the forecast during the seven days leading up to the event.

"If it rains, we're going. If it snows, we're going. The only thing that will stop us is lightning. But we're working with the military," he said. "So these are all things that we'll be playing with the week of the event on top of all the other things that we will have going on, which we never had to deal with."
