UCLA swept Stanford aside to capture its third NCAA beach volleyball national championship in program history.
The Bruins reeled off three wins from the first three completed matches Sunday, guaranteeing them the title. They were leading in the other two matchups in the dual as well.

- Kenzie Brower, Mallory LaBreche (UCLA) led Elena Fisher, Chloe Hoffman (Stanford): 21-12, 18-15
Kaley Mathews and Ensley Alden got UCLA on the board with a dominant effort over Brooke Rockwell and Ruby Sorra.
Stanford was in serious trouble when Indigo Clarke and Clara Stowell couldn't push their contest to a third set against Ava Williamson and Jesse Dueck. At match point, Williamson delivered an ace.
Kelly Belardi and Avery Jackson were similarly close to forcing a decisive third set against Sally Perez and Maggie Boyd. Perez's kill at the net, however, brought the dual to an end.
Stanford and UCLA split their season series, but the latter's 3-1 victory in the MPSF Championship semifinals on April 24 proved to be prophetic.
Even if Belardi and Jackson had held on before going on to win the match, it likely would've delayed the inevitable. The Bruins were collectively a buzz saw, and the Cardinal had no response.
