Sergio Aguero Changes to No. 10 Shirt at Manchester City, Will Sign Any No. 16s
Sergio Aguero made a late—and surprise—switch to the No. 10 shirt at Manchester City, but any fans who had banked on him keeping his No. 16 jersey are in for a treat.
The Argentine takes over Edin Dzeko's shirt with the latter seemingly on the way out of the club. He was given a rousing welcome, per Sky Sports, when he arrived in Rome ahead of a switch to Roma on Friday.
Aguero, Manchester City report on their website, will make sure no fan is disappointed by the news:
"The current Etihad Player of the Season and Barclays Premier League Golden Boot winner has invited supporters to send in their 2015/16 shirts with “Kun Aguero 16” for him to sign and send back.
Or, the club will supply an alternative emblazoned with the Argentine ace’s new no.10.
"
Aguero added that the No. 10 had a special significance to him, which, as an Argentine, is perhaps no surprise, as that was Diego Maradona's famous number.
