Confidence in the Boston Red Sox doesn't seem to be very high amid the team's rough start to the 2026 season.

On Friday, a plane flew over Fenway Park while carrying a banner that called for Red Sox principal owner John Henry to fire chief baseball officer Craig Breslow and sell the team.

Boston currently sits at the bottom of the American League East standings with a 12-19 record, a particularly disappointing result considering the team finished at 89-73 in 2025 and made a postseason appearance.

The Red Sox have already made significant changes this season, as manager Alex Cora was fired on April 25. They also parted ways with hitting coach Peter Fatse, bench coach Rámon Vazquez, assistant hitting coach Dillon Lawson and Major League hitting strategy coach Joe Cronin.

Boston has struggled at the plate this year, as its 21 total home runs rank No. 29 among all MLB teams. The Red Sox have also compiled an overall OPS of .660, representing the third-worst mark in the majors.

If Boston isn't able to turn its season around, more staff changes could be coming.
