SNME and Double or Nothing Predictions ๐ฎ
Had Cope and Cage lost at Double or Nothing, they would have never been allowed to team up again.
Sunday's bout was a rematch from Dynasty last month, which saw FTR beat Copeland and Christian thanks in large part to Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler using the tag team title belt to bust Cope open.
The encounter at Double or Nothing also essentially served as a rubber match since they also faced each other last year at All Out in a match won by Cope and Cage.
While Copeland and Christian were victorious that night with some help from Cope's wife, Beth Copeland, FTR ended up getting the last laugh.
FTR handcuffed Cope to the ropes after the match and forced him to watch as they hit both Cage and Beth with spike piledrivers.
Following that incident, both Cope and Cage took a significant amount of time off, and they did not resurface until Revolution in March.
After FTR successfully defended the AEW World Tag Team Championships on that show, Copeland and Christian showed up and attacked Harwood and Wheeler to get some revenge for what happened at All Out.
Cope and Cage did not succeed in taking the titles from FTR at Dynasty, but they received one last opportunity at Double or Nothing in exchange for putting their career as a tag team on the line.
While they took a huge risk, Cope and Cage were victorious, and they added an AEW world tag team title to a rรฉsumรฉ that already included seven WWE tag team title reigns together.
