The Raiders selected Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft, while the Cardinals added Love at No. 3.
Mendoza is entering his rookie season with high expectations, as he's coming off a 2025 campaign in which he earned Heisman Trophy honors and helped lead Indiana to a national championship.
He completed 72.0 percent of his throws for 3,535 yards and 41 touchdowns compared to a mere six interceptions across 16 starts last year. Mendoza also found the end zone seven times on the ground.
Love is also projected to be a key piece of Arizona's offense in 2026 following a dominant 2025 season with Notre Dame.
In 12 games, he rushed for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns while averaging 6.9 yards per carry. Love also made his presence felt as a receiver, finishing with 27 catches for 280 yards and three scores.
The 2026 Rookie Premiere will take place in Los Angeles and begin on May 14.
