The Portland Fire unveiled their home court ahead of their first season back in the WNBA.

Dubbed "The Fire Pit," the design includes three distinct colors along the exterior. Fire Red transitions to Rose Pink before becoming Glacier Blue on the opposite baseline.

The inside of each arc features a basket-weave pattern, which is a first in the WNBA.

"We set out to create a design that purposefully reflects this city and team history, with intention in every detail," said Kimberly Veale, the Fire's senior vice president of marketing and communications. "From the foundation of the basket weave to the progression of the flame, The Fire Pit is designed to be the ultimate community gathering space that fuels Fire team pride and passion all season long."

Fire fans will get to see the court for the first time Sunday, when Portland hosts the Los Angeles Sparks for the second of its two preseason games. The franchise will have its full home opener on May 9 agains the Chicago Sky.

The original Portland Fire lasted just three seasons in the WNBA. While the name has been revived, the organization's identity is otherwise totally new.

The expectations for the Fire in Year 1 will be relatively low. They sit last in the initial power rankings from WNBA.com's Brian Martin.

Granted, there wasn't much expected of the Golden State Valkyries in 2025, either, and they ultimately qualified for the playoffs.

Still, Portland's objective in 2026 is likely to be developing the young players on its roster and building for the future.
