Tyson was the second wide receiver off the board, and for good reason. He was a standout at Arizona State, collecting 1,812 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns across his two seasons. He was limited to nine games in his final collegiate season but still picked up 711 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department considered Tyson to be the No. 9 overall player and the top wide receiver in this year's draft class.
"His versatility is huge. He can play all over the field, plays a number of spots, his ability to attack the ball, he just does everything right," Saints head coach Kellen Moore said of Tyson on The Rich Eisen Show. "Coming into this league, he knows he's got to grow and get better... We got the right kind of guy."
The Saints have faced years of struggles, missing the playoffs in five consecutive seasons, but things appear to be trending upwards. New Orleans seemingly has its quarterback of the future in Tyler Shough, and now he has a promising young receiver to throw to.
