Per Rebecca Aizin and Jordana Comiter of People Magazine, the couple started dating in 2018 when they were at Nazareth Academy in La Grange Park, Illinois together. They got engaged in January 2024 and welcomed a son in Sept. 2025.
McCarthy wrote a heartfelt note to his now-wife back in Jan. 2025 in celebration of her 22nd birthday.
"I'd go to hell and back for her. She's my everything - my muse, my rock, and the heart of my universe. There is never a J without a K standing her ground behind him. For what is a flame without its wick. A Viking without a star to guide him. Thank you forever, my love, for never wavering when the inevitable storms arise on our voyage together. 'I love you' doesn't express my deep and intense feelings towards you enough, only will my actions for as long as I am alive will suffice. Happy 22nd My Queen."
McCarthy starred at Michigan, helping lead the 2023 Wolverines to a 15-0 mark and a national championship. The Vikings selected McCarthy with the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and he is now entering his third pro season with the team.
