Titans President Chad Brinker Steps Down From Role Following 2026 NFL Draft After 3 Years with Team
Tennessee Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker stepped down from his role, the team announced Tuesday.
"It has been an honor to serve as President of Football Operations of the Tennessee Titans," Brinker said in a statement released by the team. "Over the years, I've understood and embraced my role as the leader of the football strategy, but as I've spent less time in personnel, I have a renewed conviction that it is time to return to what I love and move towards my next chapter. I'm grateful for Amy's understanding in my decision, and for allowing me to pursue other opportunities."
Brinker initially joined the Titans as their assistant general manager in 2023 before he was promoted to president of football operations the following year.
His departure comes three days after the 2026 NFL draft came to a close.
The Titans owned two first-round picks in the 2026 draft, selecting Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate with the No. 4 overall choice before picking up Auburn edge-rusher Keldric Faulk at No. 31.
As for Brinker, he previously spent 13 years with the Green Bay Packers in multiple roles before coming to Tennessee.
It's worth noting that the Titans reportedly altered their front office structure after the 2025 season, as Brinker and general manager Mike Borgonzi would both report to team owner Amy Adams Strunk.
Prior to the change, Borgonzi reported to Brinker.
The Titans enter next season looking to improve upon their 3-14 finish in 2025 and continue building around quarterback Cam Ward, who showed promise during his rookie year.
Tennessee hired Robert Saleh as its new head coach on Jan. 20 before later bringing in former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll as the team's next offensive coordinator.
The Titans went on to add wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson in free agency, signing him to a four-year contract worth $78 million.
As Tennessee continues to navigate through the offseason, Brinker will no longer be in the mix.
