New Jauan Jennings Rumors on Potential NFC Landing Spot After 2026 NFL Draft
Free-agent wide receiver Jauan Jennings appears to be taking the next step in his decision-making process.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jennings will visit with the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday night and Wednesday. The Vikings didn't take a wide receiver with any of their nine picks in the 2026 NFL draft this past weekend.
The Vikings have a talented 1-2 punch in four-time Pro Bowler Justin Jefferson and former first-round pick Jordan Addison. However, they lost wideout Jalen Nailor to the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency after he tied to lead Minnesota with four receiving touchdowns in 2025.
Jennings would be a sufficient replacement, as he led the San Francisco 49ers with nine touchdown receptions last season. The 28-year-old developed from a seventh-round pick in 2020 into a reliable option on the outside.
In addition to the Vikings, Jennings has fielded interest from multiple teams while he mulls his decision. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported that the Miami Dolphins have shown interest in him "since the start of free agency," but he noted that they "don't have the money to meet his contractual wishes."
Jennings could opt to wait until after June 1 to find his next landing spot, as multiple teams will be freeing up significant cap space after that date from cutting big-money contracts off their rosters.
For now, the Vikings will try to convince Jennings that he could be a good fit alongside Jefferson, Addison and company as they gear up to chase a playoff spot in 2026.
