Mets' Surprisingly Low Ticket Resale Prices Compared to Taco Bell Menu Amid Team's Struggles
Fans can watch the 9-19 New York Mets' home game against the Washington Nationals on Thursday at 1:10 p.m. ET for as low as $6 on TickPick.
To put that number in perspective, a fan can go to the closest Taco Bell to Citi Field in Flushing, New York for lunch, grab a Taco Ball Crunchwrap Supreme and pay more money for food ($6.79) than a ticket to the game.
These are tough times for the Mets, who lost 12 straight earlier this year and just got swept at home to a Colorado Rockies team that went 43-119 in 2025.
The Mets' OPS is .625, the worst mark in the majors. No team has fewer runs than the Mets (92). They are second-last in total bases (316) and fourth-last in batting average (.226).
New York is 2-15 in its last 17 games. The Mets have scored three or fewer runs in 14 of those contests. New York only managed four total runs in the sweep against the Rockies.
The Mets are tied for the worst record in baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies. The calendar hasn't turned to April yet, and the Mets are already 10.5 games back of the first-place Atlanta Braves.
All told, it's not a surprise Mets tickets are so cheap on the re-sale market, especially on a weekday afternoon against another losing team in the Nationals (13-16).
Still, the fact that Mets' ticket prices are comparable to what you can buy Taco Bell is shocking considering that the team had high hopes before the year.
