Daniel Jeremiah Praises Browns, Cowboys for 2026 NFL Draft Value

Andrew PetersApr 27, 2026

The Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys both needed to have big drafts to try to turn things around, and they might have gotten just what they needed.

On The Rich Eisen Show on Monday, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah praised both teams for finding value in the draft. Jeremiah noted the way Cleveland was able to get all of the players it wanted early in the draft without having to sacrifice anything.

"To make the smart move to trade back, because you knew you didn't have to take (Spencer) Fano, the tackle. They traded back, still got him," Jeremiah said. "Then you're debating between whether to take (KC) Conception or (Denzel) Boston, they end up getting both of them. Then Emmanuel McNeil-Warren comes in there. I love what they did."

As for the Cowboys, Jeremiah praised the way they started building the exact kind of roster new defensive coordinator Christian Parker wants.

"They're going to be absolutely better this year," Jeremiah said. "...Downs is a great kind of foundational piece. Not only for what he is as a player, but the leadership, the intelligence, the communication... I love the (Jaishawn) Barham pick. He's going to be fast, physical, ultra-aggressive."

The Browns had a strong rookie class last year, but it wasn't quite enough to turn them into a playoff contender. They'll look to get back to the postseason this year after another good draft.

The Cowboys needed to focus on their defense in the draft, and they did just that. If Dallas' offense can have as much success as it did last year, slight improvements on defense could be enough to turn things around.
