Diego Pavia on CFL Team's Negotiating List amid Ravens Minicamp Invite After Going Undrafted

Andrew PetersApr 27, 2026

Former Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia is looking to make the most of his opportunity with the Baltimore Ravens after going undrafted, but he could have the chance to prove himself in a different league.

Pavia, who accepted a minicamp invite from the Ravens, is on the CFL negotiating list, and his negotiating rights currently belong to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Pavia, who had a standout season with the Commodores in 2025, was the first Heisman finalist to go undrafted since 2014. In his final season of college football, he threw for 3,539 yards and 29 touchdowns, completing 70.6 percent of his passes. He added 862 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department considered Pavia to be the No. 252 overall player in the draft and the No. 10 quarterback in this year's class. There were 10 quarterbacks taken in this year's draft.

While Pavia finished second in Heisman voting after his All-SEC campaign, there was never much of a strong case for him to be drafted early, or at all. He spent six years at the college level, making him older (24) than most other prospects. His size doesn't help, as he stands at 5'10" and 207 pounds.

But even if Pavia doesn't fit the mold of a typical NFL quarterback to be drafted, some team was bound to give him a chance, and he'll look to prove to the Ravens that he's worth adding to the depth chart.

Baltimore currently has two-time MVP Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley in its quarterback room.

If Pavia can't make his way onto the 90-man roster, he'll still have the chance to play in the CFL or perhaps the UFL.
