Cam Jordan Shades Saints After Tyree Wilson-Raiders Trade, NFL Draft amid Free Agency

The New Orleans Saints have replenished their crop of pass-rushers this offseason, but veteran Cam Jordan remains on the open market.

The Saints had a busy weekend, acquiring defensive end Tyree Wilson from the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday and signing former New England Patriots linebacker Anfernee Jennings on Sunday. Jordan, who was coincidentally speaking to Matthew Paras of NOLA.com when the Saints added Jennings, appeared to throw some shade toward the team's new acquisitions.

"I don't know," Jordan said when asked what the new additions mean for his future in New Orleans. "There's nobody (the Saints acquired) who produced the way I did last year, so. My talent speaks for itself. And if things work out, phenomenal. I've always said I understand the business side to it, so I've never worried about it."

Jordan has a point, as Wilson has never finished with more than 4.5 sacks in any of his three seasons, and Jennings has 7.5 career sacks in six seasons. Jordan led the Saints with 10.5 sacks in 2025 and has 132 sacks in his 15-year career, all of which was spent with the Saints.

The 36-year-old made it clear that he'd welcome a return to New Orleans, but he's also open to the possibility of continuing his career elsewhere. He's hoping to figure out his landing spot sooner rather than later.

"The landscape is clearing up," Jordan said. "You know, we just made a move. They just made a move (for Jennings). I said 'we.' I keep saying 'we,' and I'm having to force myself to say black and gold, black and gold, even though it's always going to be a 'we.' So yeah, I think that again, they made plenty of great moves, and honestly, I hope things do align. And if not, I'll know what the landscape looks like for me in the next week."
