Nikki Bella Updates Injury Return Timeline After Paige Replaced Her at WWE WrestleMania 42

WWE Superstar Nikki Bella is already eyeing her return to the ring after an ankle injury forced her out of her scheduled match at WrestleMania 42 earlier this month.

During Monday's episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Bella revealed that she's targeting the Night of Champions premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on June 27 for her return to action.

"Hopefully I will get to see you all in June," Bella said (h/t Derek Holloway of Ringside News). "They just announced Night of Champions is going to be happening in June, so fingers crossed that still goes. But obviously, I'd love to see you all there."

Bella injured her ankle less than a month before WrestleMania 42 and was forced to undergo surgery just two weeks before the marquee event. She revealed that she tore, sprained, and fractured her ankle, and she previously announced on social media that she would be sidelined for "6-8 weeks hopefully."

Bella's injury led WWE to make a last-minute change by replacing her with the returning Paige, who went on to team with Brie Bella and win the Women's Tag Team Championships.

Bella's eventual return could raise questions about how WWE will handle the women's tag titles, as the trio could rotate together under the Freebird Rule to defend the championship belts.
