Todd McShay Praises Raiders, Jets, Browns, More for 2026 NFL Draft Value

The dust has settled on the 2026 NFL draft, and it's starting to become clear which teams were draft winners and which were draft losers.

The Ringer's Todd McShay praised a handful of teams for their work in the draft, specifically the Cleveland Browns. McShay said on his podcast that Cleveland will actually have the chance to evaluate quarterback Sheder Sanders since he'll have more talent around him.

"I haven't felt like they've had more pieces coming together—I'm not saying they're together today—but you can actually evaluate Shedeur this year. You couldn't last year," McShay said (7:23 mark).

The Browns picked up offensive tackle Spencer Fano with the ninth pick and added Texas A&M wide receiver KC Conception with their other first-round pick.

McShay also pointed to the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets as two of his biggest winners of the draft. The Raiders, of course, landed quarterback Fernando Mendoza first overall, but McShay praised the work they did after the first round, too, especially on defense.

Overall, he said both teams improved in this year's draft.

"I think that their rosters are better, the amount of talent that they brought in," he said (10:01 mark).

McShay also praised the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts and Washington Commanders for the way they landed value picks like wide receiver Chris Brazzell (Panthers), linebacker CJ Allen (Colts) and linebacker Sonny Stylers (Commanders) (17:15 mark). He added that the Cincinnati Bengals could go either way after the draft, but he's expecting them to boom rather than bust.
