Watch Russell Wilson Bat for Savannah Bananas, Hit into Trick Play on Video at Yankee Stadium

Russell Wilson returned to the baseball diamond on Sunday, suiting up for the Savannah Bananas at Yankee Stadium.

The veteran quarterback, who is also a former baseball player, broke his bat and hit into a trick play in his first appearance for the Bananas.

While Wilson is known primarily for his football career, he also played college baseball at NC State and was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the fourth round of the 2010 MLB draft. He spent some time in the minors in 2010 and 2011 before committing to his NFL career.

He later returned to baseball, suiting up for the Texas Rangers in spring training in 2014 and 2015. In 2018, he joined the New York Yankees for spring training after being acquired for future cash considerations.
