Arch Manning Leads 2027 NFL Draft Odds to Be No. 1 Overall Pick, Full List of Notable Players
With the 2026 NFL draft now in the books, the focus shifts towards next year's draft class, which should be a stacked one.
The favorite to go first overall next year is Texas quarterback Arch Manning, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Manning is at +150 to be taken first, followed by Oregon quarterback Dante Moore (+550), Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr (+600), Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith (+650) and Buckeyes quarterback Julian Sayin (+1000).
Some viewed Manning as a candidate to go first overall in 2026, but after a somewhat disappointing year, he opted to stay another year at Texas. The nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning threw for 3,163 yards, 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions while picking up 399 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
Manning didn't exactly live up to the hype he had surrounding him, but he'll look to put together a strong second season as the Longhorns' starter.
Indiana's Fernando Mendoza was the consensus No. 1 quarterback in this year's draft class, but Moore was largely seen as the second-best option before choosing to stay at Oregon. Moore threw for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2025.
Carr is coming off a solid redshirt freshman season with the Fighting Irish, in which he threw for 2,741 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions. If he was able to play that well in his first year under center, big things should be ahead in Year 2.
Smith was one of the best receivers in the nation as soon as he stepped foot on campus, and the hype around him is only growing ahead of his third season. But even if Smith has another outstanding year, it would be a bit surprising to see a wide receiver off the board first, considering that hasn't happened in three decades.
His teammate Sayin put together a fantastic first year under center, as he collected 3,610 yards, 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions while leading Ohio State back to the College Football Playoff.
