Ronda Rousey Warns Carano Ahead of Historic Fight, 'I Want to Show Her the Monster That She Created'
As her return to MMA draws nearer, Ronda Rousey is no longer looking to be cordial with her opponent, Gina Carano.
While speaking to TMZ, Rousey made some bold declarations about her upcoming showdown against Carano on May 16 in the main event of Netflix's first-ever MMA card.
"If anything, I want to show her the monster that she created," Rousey said. "I want her to be proud of it. I want her to see, like, wow, I had no idea that what I started was going to create something like this. And I want to show her what I am capable of. Whoop her ass and make her proud of me!"
This will be Rousey's first MMA fight since 2016, and Carano's first since 2009. The card is promoted by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions and also features the MMA returns of Francis Ngannou, Nate Diaz and Mike Perry.
During her heyday, Rousey was known for her aggression inside the cage, and it sounds like she's bringing a similar mindset to her fight against Carano.
"Once they close the door, I'm going to do everything in my power to kill that chick with my bare hands, and it's up to that referee to stop me," she said.
