Kayvon Thibodeaux, Trevon Diggs' Best Trade, FA Landing Spots After 2026 NFL Draft Day 2
A number of teams addressed needs off the edge and at cornerback through the first three rounds of the NFL draft, but for other teams, those positions remain unaddressed.
So with trade rumors circulating around New York Giants' edge-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux—especially after the team drafted Arvell Reese—and veteran cornerback Trevon Diggs still available in free agency, where might they end up this offseason?
Let's make some educated guesses.
Thibodeaux Landing Spots

The buzz surrounding Thibodeaux already linked him to the New Orleans Saints, so that's a good place to start (though whether there's any real fire behind that smoke is certainly up for debate).
The Saints have a need off the edge and haven't addressed it to this point at the draft, so they are among the frontrunners if the Giants indeed entertain offers for Thibodeaux.
Arizona could have addressed a need for more playmakers off the edge but instead drafted running back Jeremiyah Love at No. 3. Whether the rebuilding Cardinals are willing to give up draft capital for a player like Thibodeaux is another question entirely.
The Cleveland Browns spent four of their five picks thus far upgrading the offense and could use another pass-rusher opposite Myles Garrett, making them a team worth mentioning.
Finally, the Minnesota Vikings traded Jonathan Greenard to the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday. While they have Dallas Turner ready to step into a starting role, adding another option off the edge wouldn't hurt.
Diggs Landing Spots

Finding landing spots for Thibodeaux is a bit easier than for Diggs, as the former is only 25 and his best football seems ahead of him.
Diggs, on the other hand, has been on a downward trajectory since he was a Pro Bowler in the 2021-22 seasons. While injuries played a part in that, he's also been an interception-or-bust player—if he isn't generating a high dose of turnovers, he simply isn't a top cover corner.
That said, there are teams out there who need cornerbacks and could take a gamble on a player like Diggs. The Las Vegas Raiders need more help in the secondary and didn't address corner at the draft in the first three rounds.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could also look to add more depth at the position. Really, any team in need of some veteran depth could kick the tires on Diggs, but whether he'd be an upgrade at this stage in his career remains to be seen.
