Fantasy Football Expert Analysis After 2026 NFL Draft Day 2

Joe TanseyApr 24, 2026

The majority of the offensive skill position selections on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL draft came at wide receiver.

Twelve wide receivers were chosen between the second and third rounds. Many of them will be thrust into opportunities in which they can contribute in Week 1.

De'Zhaun Stribling and Denzel Boston, who were the first two wide receivers chosen on Friday, have the potential to be assets to their new offenses right away.

There was minimal attention on the quarterbacks on Friday because only two were chosen.

Of the two, Carson Beck finds himself in a potentially fascinating situation in Arizona where all sorts of change could occur within its offense in 2026.

Carson Beck

Carson Beck was the first quarterback taken on Day 2.

The Miami quarterback landed with the Arizona Cardinals with the first pick of the third round.

Beck, like many of the quarterbacks not named Fernando Mendoza in the 2026 draft class, comes to the NFL as a project.

Beck displayed plenty of positive qualities during Miami's College Football Playoff run in 2025, but he did throw 12 interceptions in each of his last two collegiate seasons.

There's enough there for the Arizona staff to work with. After all, Beck was a three-time 3,000-yard passer during his time at Georgia and Miami.

Beck will at least have an opportunity to compete for the starting job with Jacoby Brissett, but it's too early to tell if he's worth drafting in fantasy football.

The circumstances surrounding Beck could change between now and August, but right now, he projects as an undrafted player in fantasy football drafts.

De'Zhaun Stribling

De'Zhaun Stribling has the potential to thrive in the revamped San Francisco wide receiver room.

Stribling, the first pick of the second round, is a 6'2", 200-pound target that could be a terrific complement to Mike Evans.

Stribling put up back-to-back 800-yard, six-touchdown seasons at Oklahoma State and Ole Miss. That type of production would be welcome inside a 49ers offense that is in need of impact players at wide receiver.

The No. 33 overall pick has to compete with Ricky Pearsall and Demarcus Robinson for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart in training camp.

But Stribling offers something that any other 49ers receiver can't in terms of physical qualities.

Stribling projects as a late-round fantasy football pick right now, but he has the potential to be one of the steals of fantasy drafts because of his size, role and team he was drafted to.

Denzel Boston

Denzel Boston entered the NFL draft as a potential first-round pick.

The Washington product dropped down to the Cleveland Browns at No. 39.

Boston enters a situation where there will at least be a ton of competition behind Jerry Jeudy.

Boston and first-round pick KC Concepcion will compete with Cedric Tillman for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart in training camp.

There is the potential for Boston to be Cleveland's top target by the end of the season, if he connects well with Shedeur Sanders.

For now, Boston is an intriguing late-round fantasy pick because of his touchdown potential. The 6'4" wide out had 20 touchdown catches in the last two seasons.
