Denzel Boston Drafted by Browns, Fans React to New WR Room with Concepcion for Shedeur Sanders, QBs
The Cleveland Browns clearly prioritized the wideout position at this year's NFL draft.
One day after drafting Texas A&M receiver KC Concepcion, the Browns used their first pick in the second round (No. 39 overall) to select Washington wideout Denzel Boston.

NFL fans and pundits alike had plenty of thoughts on the team's decision to double-dip at the position:
Boston was considered the No. 28 player overall on the B/R NFL Scouting Department's final big board and the No. 6 wideout (Concepcion was the No. 12 player overall and No. 3 wideout).
B/R's Damian Parson called Boston a "prototypical boundary possession X-receiver with quality starting abilities" who "stresses defense with his blend of size, physicality, and alignment versatility" and is "known for his outstanding body control and ball skills, which enable him to consistently win contested catches."
His NFL comparison on that scouting report was Mike Williams.
It was very clear that the Browns needed to add more weapons on offense for whoever wins the quarterback gig, whether that's Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel or Deshaun Watson. Thus far, all three picks have been focused on improving the offense and upgrading the pass game.
Cleveland fans won't be mad at that approach.
