The Philadelphia Eagles drafted USC wide receiver Makai Lemon in the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday.
One day later, Sixers fans gave him a warm welcome when he was introduced to ring the bell ahead of the team's Game 3 playoff matchup against the Boston Celtics.
Lemon was one of the stories on draft night after it initially appeared the Pittsburgh Steelers were poised to draft him—and even had him on the phone—before the Eagles traded ahead of them and selected him:
And now he's off to the City of Brotherly Love, presumably to hold down the slot role and perhaps help replace A.J. Brown, who seems likely to be traded after June 1. Philly fans were certainly happy to see Lemon on Friday.
