Stephen A. Smith Responds to WWE's Danhausen About 'Curse' Amid Knicks' NBA Playoff Struggles
WWE Superstar Danhausen and ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith had an entertaining exchange Friday on X regarding Danhausen recently cursing Smith and the New York Knicks.
Last week, Danhausen appeared on ESPN First Take to promote WrestleMania 42, and during the segment, he cursed Stephen A.

Danhausen said he heard Smith was a Knicks fan and noted that while he could have cursed the Knicks' opponents, he instead chose to curse Smith because he was "very, very, very rude" to him.
Although the Knicks won Game 1 of their first-round playoff series against the Knicks, they have since lost two games in a row, including a 109-108 defeat in Thursday's Game 3 to go down 2-1 in the series.
In response to the Knicks' latest loss, Danhausen took to X and offered to lift Smith's curse in exchange for "human money."
However, Smith refused to play ball, and he instead shifted his attention to the Knicks' shortcomings against the Hawks thus far:
Entering the 2025-26 season, the Knicks were viewed as one of the top contenders to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals.
They reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season and returned their entire core of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart.
Anything short of a return trip to the ECF would be considered a massive failure, and a first-round exit would be an especially tough pill for Knicks fans to swallow.
Danhausen's curses have made life miserable for many in WWE, including Dominik Mysterio, The Miz and Kit Wilson, but Smith is willing to take his chances when it comes to the Knicks.
