The Rock Congratulates Giants' Francis Mauigoa on 2026 NFL Draft Pick in Social Media Post

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson congratulated former Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa after the New York Giants selected him with the No. 10 overall pick in the NFL draft on Thursday.

Johnson, who played football at Miami from 1991-1994, had previously congratulated Mauigoa after he committed to the Hurricanes.

Both men are very proud of their Samoan heritage. Mauigoa paid tribute on draft night in Pittsburgh.

Mauigoa ranked second among interior offensive linemen and 16th overall on the B/R NFL Scouting Department big board. He fills a need for the Giants, who are now set up at offensive tackle (LT Andrew Thomas, RT Jermaine Eluemunor) but needed more help and depth along the interior offensive line.

Mauigoa figures to slot in at right guard to start, but he could in theory spell at tackle if needed.

The Giants had the 10th pick after trading defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals. They also selected Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese fifth overall earlier in the evening.
