KC Concepcion Reacts to Joining Shedeur Sanders, Myles Garrett's Browns and Addresses Drops

The Cleveland Browns added multiple players to their offense during Thursday's first round of the 2026 NFL draft when they selected offensive tackle Spencer Fano at No. 9 overall and wide receiver KC Concepcion at No. 24 overall.

And the wide receiver is ready to join the AFC North team.

"I'm versatile. I make plays. I can play anywhere," he told reporters (1:30 mark) when asked what he would tell Browns fans they are getting for their offense. "I can run any route. You guys are going to be getting a dog all over the field."

He also said it is "amazing" to get the chance to play on a team with "role model" Myles Garrett and addressed concerns about his drops when he said he is "going to work nonstop."

Browns general manager Andrew Berry also addressed the drops (2:37 mark) and said, "Every receiver besides maybe Larry Fitzgerald has a couple drops. … He's electric with the ball in his hands, and we're looking forward to having him."

But Berry also sees some similarities to a notable receiver in the AFC North (8:15 mark).

"I do think there are some similarities in terms of the movement skills, the twitch and some of the questions regarding the hands coming out," he said of the comparisons between Zay Flowers and Concepcion. "… If we get a player who is comparable to Zay Flowers when we're sitting here in three years, we'll be elated."

Considering Flowers is a two-time Pro Bowler coming off back-to-back seasons with more than 1,000 yards in just three years in the NFL, Cleveland would have one of the steals of the draft if Concepcion ends up producing like that.

By the time the Browns were on the clock at No. 24, three other wide receivers had been taken in Carnell Tate (No. 4), Jordyn Tyson (No. 8) and Makai Lemon (No. 20). If they were going to land a playmaker for Shedeur Sanders to target, it felt like the time.

Concepcion is a high-risk and high-reward player because of the drop concerns, but he also was an All-American at Texas A&M who gives an offense that was otherwise overly reliant on Jerry Jeudy another option in the aerial attack.

And B/R's NFL Scouting Department ranked him as the third-best receiver in the entire draft in its final big board of prospects, suggesting Cleveland may have gotten a steal so late in the first round.

If it did, those predraft worries about the drops will be a distant memory.
