Todd McShay Ranks Best Prospects Available for 2026 NFL Draft Day 2 After Round 1
The Ringer's Todd McShay feels Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston is the best prospect remaining after Round 1 of the 2026 NFL draft.
McShay listed his best available prospects during his draft show on Netflix following the conclusion of Thursday night's opening round in Pittsburgh.
Here's a rundown of McShay's top 10 prospects remaining.
- Denzel Boston (WR, Washington)
- Colton Hood (CB, Tennessee)
- Kayden McDonald (DT, Ohio State)
- T.J. Parker (ED, Clemson)
- Jermod McCoy (CB, Tennessee)
- Emmanuel McNeil-Warren (S, Toledo)
- Zion Young (ED, Missouri)
- Treydan Stukes (S, Arizona)
- Jacob Rodriguez (LB, Texas Tech)
- Cashius Howell (ED, Texas A&M)
Round 2 of the 2026 draft is set to begin Friday at 7 p.m. ET in Pittsburgh.
Remaining players include McShay's highest-rated defensive tackle in Ohio State's McDonald.
Four players within McShay's top 32 overall prospects are still on the board in Boston, Hood, McDonald and Parker.
The New York Jets were previously set to open the second round before they traded the No. 33 pick to the San Francisco 49ers in order to draft Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. at No. 30.
The 49ers, who traded out of the first round altogether after making deals with the Jets and Miami Dolphins, are now set to start out Round 2.
The Niners could still decide to trade down again. ESPN's Rich Cimini noted the No. 33 pick could attract "significant trade interest."
Should the Niners stick at No. 33, the franchise could potentially target an edge rusher. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah previously named Clemson's Parker as a player who could fit well into the 49ers' defense.
The Arizona Cardinals are up on the board with the second pick of Round 2 and could be looking to bolster their offensive line after adding running back Jeremiyah Love at No. 3, making McCoy or McDonald potential options.
The Cardinals are followed by another team that traded out of the first round in the Buffalo Bills.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane previously said a wide receiver would have been a possibility for his team had they stuck at No. 26. Should the Bills still aim for a wideout with their first pick of the draft, the team could potentially aim for Boston at No. 35.
