KC Concepcion to Browns, Fans React to New WR for Shedeur Sanders, QBs After 2026 NFL Draft Pick
The Cleveland Browns have added one of the top wide receivers in the 2026 NFL draft ahead of their upcoming QB1 competition.
The Browns selected Texas A&M's KC Concepcion with the No. 24 pick on Thursday night in Pittsburgh.
Fans expressed excitement for what Concepcion could bring to a quarterback room currently staffed by Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel.
The Browns started out the draft by selecting Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano at No. 9.
Cleveland gained two additional picks at No. 74 and No. 148 earlier by acquiring that pick from the Kansas City Chiefs, who selected LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane at No. 6.
The Browns will get on the clock next with the No. 39 selection in Friday's Round 2.
Concepcion is set to join a wide receiver room currently led by Jerry Jeudy, who recorded 602 receiving yards in 17 games last season as the Browns rotated between Joe Flacco, Sanders and Gabriel.
The Browns will hope to find some more stability under center ahead of their first season with Concepcion, who was ranked as the No. 12 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver on Bleacher Report's final big board.
Concepcion is making the jump to the NFL after recording 919 receiving yards (15.1 yards per catch, 70.7 yards per game) and nine receiving touchdowns in 13 games of his junior season with Texas A&M.
B/R NFL scout Damian Parson described Concepcion as one of the draft's "most explosive run-after-catch weapons."
"Concepcion is a dynamic, open-field weapon who can go beyond manufactured touches and easy completions," Parson wrote. "He's developing into a well-rounded, high-impact receiver with a high ceiling as an NFL option."
What role Jeudy and Concepcion end up taking with the Browns next season will hinge at least in part on which starting quarterback Todd Monken ends up building his offense around.
Watson, who last saw NFL action in October 2024, will look to make his return from multiple Achilles surgeries as Sanders and Gabriel look to build on up-and-down rookie seasons.
