A.J. Brown, Nico Collins, Brandon Aiyuk's Best Trade Landing Spots After 2026 NFL Draft Day 1

Julia StumbaughApr 23, 2026

Some of the top wide receivers in the 2026 NFL draft are off the board after Day 1 in Pittsburgh.

Ohio State's Carnell Tate, the No. 2 wide receiver on the final Bleacher Report big board, went to the Tennessee Titans with the No. 4 pick.

Bleacher Report's top wide receiver Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson went to the New Orleans Saints at No. 8.

USC's Makai Lemon went to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 20, followed by Texas A&M's Kevin Concepcion to the Cleveland Browns at No. 24 and Indiana's Omar Cooper Jr. to the New York Jets at No. 30.

While these teams add depth to their wide receiver rooms, others are still looking for more targets.

Here are some of the best trade landing spots for Philadelphia Eagles wide' A.J. Brown, Houston Texans' Nico Collins and San Francisco 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk heading into Day 2 of the draft.

A.J. Brown

Brown could be a New England Patriot by the end of the summer.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier this week that trade conversations between the Eagles and Patriots are "likely culminating in a deal" that would take place on or around June 1.

The Eagles brought in wide receivers Dontayvion Wicks, Elijah Moore and Hollywood Brown this offseason in order to add some depth behind DeVonta Smith and potentially brace for a trade of Brown.

The Patriots could be looking for a top wide receiver alongside Romeo Doubs as they look to build out their offense around Drake Maye after last year's run to Super Bowl LX.

Other teams including the Los Angeles Rams have also been involved in trade talks for Brown, but it sounds like New England is his most likely landing spot this summer.

Nico Collins

Collins was already reported on some teams' trade radars before the start of the 2026 NFL draft.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported Thursday that teams had called the Texans "to check on" Collins "with an understanding in the league that he needs a contract adjustment."

Collins is set to cost the Texans a $27.8 million cap hit in 2026, per Spotrac. That ranks 18th in the NFL among wide receivers, per Over the Cap.

Schultz reported it "seems highly unlikely" the Texans would trade Collins.

If the Texans do ultimately consider a deal, the Eagles could look at targeting Collins to add veteran experience should Brown depart this offseason.

That potential deal could be hampered by the Eagles' lack of a first-rounder in 2027.

The Rams could also be a candidate for a top receiver, given that Puka Nacua has yet to sign an extension and the franchise's previous trade talks involving Adams. Los Angeles owns its own first-round picks in both 2027 and 2027.

Whichever franchise makes an bid for Collins would likely have to put up a significant offer in order to snag a 27-year-old receiver coming off three straight 1,000-yard seasons.

Brandon Aiyuk

Niners general manager John Lynch told reporters ahead of this week's draft he had held "some discussions" with other teams about trading Aiyuk.

Whether that trade actually takes place could depend on whether any other teams are willing to trade draft capital for a player who hasn't seen NFL action since 2024.

"Do I think it's a high probability? Likely no. But, is there a chance? Yeah, I think there's a chance," Lynch said, according to the team's transcript.

Lynch continued, "I think I was candid with you guys in saying at the end of the season that he's likely played his last snap for us... We'll focus on our draft. If something happens there, great. If not, we'll re-evaluate."

There are a few teams who might be in position to trade some late-round draft capital for an experienced wide receiver.

One candidate for such a trade could be the Cleveland Browns, who drafted Concepcion but could potentially use more veteran support alongside Jerry Jeudy ahead of their upcoming QB1 competition between Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel.

Another team where Aiyuk could potentially slot in as a WR1 are the Miami Dolphins, who have three wide receivers with relatively limited recent production in Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell. The Dolphins could be looking to add a more experienced option for Malik Willis ahead of his first full campaign as starting quarterback.

The New Orleans Saints are heading into the draft with just eight total picks, but the franchise could still consider using some of that capital to make a deal for Aiyuk in order to build around Tyler Shough by adding another experienced wideout alongside Chris Olave.
