New Raiders Rumors Reveal Vegas' Stance on Trading Back Into 1st Round After Fernando Mendoza Pick
There is little question about whether the Las Vegas Raiders are going to draft Fernando Mendoza at No. 1, but what they'll do after their first pick remains a question mark.
According to ESPN's Matt Miller and Jeremy Fowler, the Raiders "don't anticipate a move back into Round 1 from pick No. 36" because of the lack of talent available late in the first round. Miller and Fowler added that Las Vegas views the players projected to be available late in the first round "as similarly graded to the players who will be available at 36."
Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department projects the Raiders to take Texas Tech defensive lineman Lee Hunter with the 36th pick in its latest mock draft. Lee is considered to be the No. 39 overall prospect and the fourth-best defensive lineman in this year's draft class by B/R's NFL Scouting Department.
The Raiders have 10 total picks, including three in the fourth round and two in the sixth round.
