Commanders' Dream NFL Draft Pick Revealed in New Rumors, Mock Draft Ahead of 1st Round
It doesn't sound as though Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles will get past the Washington Commanders at No. 7 during the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, "Teams I've talked to believe Styles would be a dream Dan Quinn pick, but they also wonder whether the Commanders are leaning offense. Wide receiver Carnell Tate (Ohio State) is a popular name here, and Washington has spent a lot of time with him."
ESPN's Matt Miller added that he's "consistently heard that Styles will be the pick if he's on the board" and that Quinn "has reportedly told contacts that Styles is his favorite player in the class."

It's a common projection, though Styles may not make it to the Commanders. The B/R NFL Scouting Department mocked him to the New York Giants, for instance, and has Styles ranked as the No. 6 player overall on its final big board. And another team could always trade above the Commanders to land him (think the Dallas Cowboys, for instance).
But if he's available at No. 7, expect him to head to the nation's capital.
