New NFL Mock Draft for Top-10 Picks Drops from Rich Eisen in Video Ahead of 1st Round

Joseph ZuckerApr 22, 2026

Longtime NFL Network host Rich Eisen had his say on the 2026 NFL draft and projected the top 10 picks.

Eisen led off with the Las Vegas Raiders taking Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza and then the New York Jets selecting Texas Tech edge-rusher David Bailey.

The No. 3 pick was Eisen's first surprise as he forecasted the Kansas City Chiefs to trade up and take Ohio State edge-rusher/linebacker Arvell Reese.

Rich Eisen Top 10 Mock

  1. Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
  2. Jets: David Bailey, Edge, Texas Tech
  3. Chiefs: Arvell Reese, Edge/LB, Ohio State
  4. Titans: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
  5. Giants: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
  6. Browns: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah
  7. Commanders: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State
  8. Saints: Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
  9. Cardinals: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami
  10. Giants: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State

The Chiefs aren't planning on going 6-11 again anytime soon. The upside of their poor performance in 2025 is that they have a much better draft pick than they've grown accustomed to having. It would make sense if Kansas City wants to be even more aggressive and trade up into the top five to capitalize fully on this opportunity.

Reese would certainly address a need in a defense that tied for the seventh-fewest (35). Nobody on the team had more than seven.

General manager Brett Veach will probably get a pass-rusher at some point in the draft.

Based on his mock, Eisen is higher on this year's wide receiver class than the general consensus.

The Athletic's Bruce Feldman cited one receivers coach who said that "the middle and the back end of this group is good." However, there isn't that one standout pass-catcher.

Another WR coach chimed into say "the group is not as top-heavy as it usually is," echoing the theme.

Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson is the highest-ranked receiver on Bleacher Report's big board. At No. 9, he's only one spot ahead of Ohio State's Carnell Tate, though, and Texas A&M's KC Concepcion (No. 12) and USC's Makai Lemon (No. 14) follow closely behind.

Maybe a team is blown away by what Tate, Tyson or Lemon put on tape. Otherwise, this might be a draft where it's better to wait than use a top-five selection on a wideout.
