Buzz: Cards Listening on No. 3
Love, who racked up 1,372 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns in his junior season with Notre Dame, is ranked as the top running back and No. 2 overall prospect on Bleacher Report's latest 2026 NFL draft big board.
The B/R NFL scouting department projected in their latest mock draft that Love will go to the Tennessee Titans at No. 4.
Love told reporters he had met Titans quarterback Cam Ward when visiting the team's facility ahead of the draft.
"If I was on a team with him, it'd be great. It'd be something special," Love said about Ward.
The Cardinals are interested in drafting Love if they keep their No. 3 pick, but the franchise would also consider trading down, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and SNY's Connor Hughes.
According to Hughes, "one team selecting in the top five is operating under the belief it will be Love to Arizona."
ESPN's Peter Schrager recently reported he feels the Titans are more likely to take Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey or Ohio State's Sonny Styles, Arvell Reese or Carnell Tate at No. 4.
Should the Cardinals trade down and the Titans pass on Love, that could allow him to fall to the Giants at No. 5.
Giants head coach John Harbaugh is expected to have a say in his new team's draft decisions, per The Ringer's Todd McShay, and he could be looking to follow his playbook from Baltimore and lean more on his run game next season.
Whether the Cardinals keep or trade the No. 3 pick could ultimately determine where Love lands after the 2026 NFL draft starts in Pittsburgh this Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
