Rising WWE Stars Who Deserve Major Push After WrestleMania 42 for WrestleMania 43

Erik BeastonApr 22, 2026

On the heels of WrestleMania 42, the attention of the audience and WWE itself turns to the future and the stars who will help define the road to next year's Showcase of the Immortals.

Three of those stars performed at this year's event and are perfect candidates for long, sustained pushes throughout the rest of this year and into the all-important road to WrestleMania 43.

Je'Von Evans

The Young OG seized the WrestleMania 42 spotlight and delivered one of the most awe-inspiring performances of the weekend in Sunday's Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship.

While the 21-year-old did not emerge from the bout with the title, he did leave a lasting impression, thanks to his unrivalled athleticism and ability to throw his body around the ring.

The late-match OG Cutter that nearly won him the championship wowed the audience and made for a viral moment that will be in highilight reels for years to come.

Already in a great position for someone of his age, Evans is poised to be a bright light for the company for the foreseeable future. A sizeable push will only expedite the process.

Lash Legend

One of the most impressive women on the WWE roster since her appearance in the War Games match at Survivor Series, the former WNBA player has wowed audiences with her presence and physicality in the ring.

It was more of the same at WrestleMania.

Despite only having one minute per each of the eight competitors in the bout to work with, she stood out, another fine performance for a performer who figures to have plenty of her own WrestleMania moments on the horizon.

That she entered the match as champion and paid homage to Demolition with her and partner Nia Jax's ring gear only made it more memorable.

A renewed push starting on SmackDown, where Legend and Jax make it clear they are not taking a backseat to Brie Bella and Paige, and are coming for the titles, would kick said push off on the right foot.

It is difficult to suggest someone who was the WWE women's champion entering this year's show did not already have a major push, but it was clear throughout her run with the title that the company was not as invested in her creatively as it should have been.

It can rectify that problem fairly quickly with a rejuvenating push that sees her get back to the title hunt and the continuation of her rivalry with Rhea Ripley.

Clearly someone the company sees as a star, it is time that they push her accordingly, giving her in-ring work more consistently and letting her flesh out her on-screen persona so that the next time she runs with the gold, it is not a "practice reign," as she called it, while talking with Sports Illustrated's Rick Ucchino after her WrestleMania loss.
