New NFL Draft Rumors on Jeremiyah Love's Landing Spot Amid Cardinals, Titans Trade Buzz

Adam WellsApr 22, 2026

As the 2026 NFL draft is getting closer, it's starting to appear that Jeremiyah Love's floor could be the No. 3 overall pick just with a question of which team will be making that selection.

Per ESPN's Dan Graziano, the Arizona Cardinals "would listen" to offers for the third pick if a team wants to move up for Love depending on what the New York Jets do at No. 2:

"Once the Jets make their pick — be it (Arvell) Reese or (David) Bailey — the Cardinals hope to have options at No. 3. It's widely known around the league the Cardinals would prefer to trade down from that spot. If the Jets take Reese and there's a team out there such as, say, the Chiefs at No. 9 that wants to make a big move up for Bailey, a deal could come together that could net Arizona extra picks. If there's a team out there that wants to come up to No. 3 for Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, the Cardinals would listen."

Graziano does note that if no deal materializes, his belief is that the Cardinals will take the Notre Dame standout.

On the latest episode of The McShay Show (starts at 5:30 mark), The Ringer's Todd McShay added some of the Love-to-Arizona smoke is being driven by Cardinals owner Michael Bidwell preferring Love and general manager Monti Ossenfort wants "whatever EDGE" is available between Reese and Bailey if they stay at their current spot.

According to McShay (starts at 11:30 mark), the Tennessee Titans don't appear to be in on Love because they are in on either a "pass-rusher (Bailey or Reese) or Sonny Styles" at No. 4.

Graziano had a similar sentiment, noting the Titans would like to trade down from four. But their options if they stay in that spot would either be an EDGE or wide receiver, with Carnell Tate or Jordyn Tyson cited as a potential pass-catching options.

The growing speculation in recent days has connected Love to the Cardinals. ESPN's Adam Schefter recently reported there's "growing chatter" in the league that Love is in play for Arizona, but the team "ideally" would find a trade to move down and acquire more picks.

Arizona is guaranteed to have its pick from at least one of Reese or Bailey because Fernando Mendoza seems close to locked in with the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 1.

The Jets have frequently been connected to the two defensive players, leaving the Cardinals in position to get the other one if that scenario plays out. The Titans getting to choose between one of Reese or Bailey plus Styles at No. 4 would be a dream scenario for the organization.

B/R's NFL scouting department's most recent mock has Reese projected to the Jets and Bailey to the Cardinals, with Love going to Tennessee. That leaves Styles on the board for the New York Giants at No. 5.

The Titans do need more offensive playmakers around Cam Ward, but new head coach Robert Saleh, who has an excellent defensive background, also seems like he would want to push for a potential impact player on that side of the ball.

Arizona and Tennessee are in such a state with their rosters right now that they can go in almost any direction and it would make sense.

Love might not feel like an ideal selection in the moment because it's hard for a running back to make an impact on a team with a lot of other holes on offense to fill, but he's a rare talent at the position that could help transform a backfield sooner than later.
