New Chiefs Rumors Reveal Potential Travis Kelce Successor in 2026 NFL Draft

Travis Kelce is returning for at least one more season with the Kansas City Chiefs, but it's no secret that the legendary tight end's career is nearing its end.

That means Kansas City must find a replacement for Kelce, and the Chiefs could do so in this year's draft. Alber Breer of Sports Illustrated pointed to Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq as a possible candidate.

"I'm not sure if they'd take him at 9, or want him in a trade-down scenario, but he'd fit as a Travis Kelce successor, and might have as good a shot as anyone in the draft to be the focal point of some team's passing game," Breer wrote.

Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department considers Sadiq to be the No. 17 overall player and the top tight end in this year's draft class. In the latest mock draft from B/R, Sadiq is projected to go 17th overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In his final season with the Ducks, Sadiq recorded 51 receptions for 560 yards and eight touchdowns.
