Dane Brugler's 'The Beast' NFL Draft Big Board 2026 Top 300 Rankings Drops After Analyzing Grades

The 2026 NFL draft is just a few days away, and The Athletic's Dane Brugler dropped "The Beast" top 300 player rankings on Monday.

Brugler constructed his final rankings after analyzing draft grades for each player. The top 10 from Brugler's list are as follows:

1. Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State
2. Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
3. Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
4. Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State
5. Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
6. Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU
7. David Bailey, Edge, Texas Tech
8. Spencer Fano, OT, Utah
9. Rueben Bain Jr., Edge, Miami
10. Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

Brugler described Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese as "a versatile defender who has the physical traits to become a dominant pass rusher." Reese is expected to play a variety of roles in the NFL, and he has the potential to be a star with the right development.

B/R's NFL Scouting Department predicted that Reese would be selected by the New York Jets with the No. 2 pick in this year's draft.

"Reese's position flexibility should intrigue a defensive-minded coach like Glenn and the team could have a couple of avenues to deploy him," B/R scout Matt Holder said. "Will McDonald IV and [Joseph] Ossai are both pass-rushers who struggle against the run, creating an opportunity for the former Buckeye to line up on the edge during early downs. Meanwhile, New York recognized its need at linebacker and signed [Demario] Davis, but the 37-year-old is only on a two-year contract to justify adding Reese as a long-term solution at linebacker."
